She, born in 1967 in Torbalı, Izmir, has graduated from Izmır Girls High School in 1984 and graduated from Biology Department, Faculty of Science, Ege University in 1990. Gediz who is one of the first embryologists began to work as biologist in (Test-tube Baby) Embryology Laboratory of Ege University Infertility Research and Application Centre (Test-tube Baby) in 1990. After she worked actively in hormone, andrologia and embryology laboratories, she has taken responsibilities of Manisa Alasehir State Hospital Blood Center and Hormon Laboratories in between 2000 – 2005. Gediz who has established Embryology and Andrologia Laboratory of Smyrna ART Test-tube Baby and Women’s Health Division Center in 2005 still works as biologist in the same center.
